Awards & Scholarships

SAE offers a wide variety of awards, scholarships, loans and internships for engineering students and faculty through the SAE Foundation. Programs are available for every phase of a student's engineering education.

Awards
SAE encourages engineering students and faculty to continue to strive for excellence in their education and professional careers. There are several award programs funded through the SAE Foundation that provide recognition to outstanding students and faculty.

Scholarships
Money is available for both undergraduate and graduate engineering students. With tuition costs continuing to rise annually, an increasing number of students are finding it difficult to cover their college education expenses. Several of SAE's scholarships are funded by donations from corporations such as BMW, John Deere, Hendrickson, Honda, Mercedes-Benz, TMC, Toyota, Yanmar Diesel and Young Radiator that help students realize their dream of becoming a professional engineer.

Loans
Forgivable loans are available for students completing their Ph.D. This program is funded through a generous donation by DaimlerChrysler.

Internships
Internships are available for engineering students completing their junior year.
