Undesignated Scholarships

Applications accepted September 1, 2007 through December 1, 2007 of the student's senior year of high school.

Applications should be postmarked by December 1, 2007. Deadline extended to December 15

These corporate-sponsored scholarships range in value from $1,000 to $10,000. To qualify, the applicant must enroll in an engineering program accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET) at a university of the applicant's choice. Undesignated scholarships are paid directly to the college or university. All scholarships are contingent upon the applicant's enrollment in engineering and acceptance from their chosen college or university. Judging will be based on the criteria established by the sponsor and as outlined in the individual scholarship descriptions. See below.

Eligibility Requirements

All applicants must:
Intend to enroll in an engineering program (refer to scholarship descriptors) accredited by ABET
Be a citizen of the United States (not permanent resident) at the date of application
Be a high school senior at the time of application (Sept. 1 - Dec. 1)
Meet minimum requirements with regard to grade point average, SAT I Reasoning Test and/or ACT scores as outlined in the individual requirements of each scholarship.
Applications must be post marked by December 1 Deadline extended to December 15

Notification

Scholarship recipients will be notified by June 30, 2008. Individuals not being awarded a scholarship will be notified in July/August, 2008. At that time, a list of the recipients will also be posted online at www.sae.org/students/scholarships/.
