SAE ENGINEERING SCHOLARSHIP
Arkansas Tech University is a public, regional, state comprehensive university with programs at both baccalaureate and graduate levels. With a student-faculty ratio of 19 to 1 for our 6,000 students, professors know you by name and not merely by your student ID number. The primary function of the University is teaching. Scholarly research and other professional activities of the faculty are strongly supported. We offer nearly 70 graduate and undergraduate programs of study, hands-on learning in our classrooms and laboratories, and internships designed to give you real-world experience.

The University's mechanical and electrical engineering programs are accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET). Student Eligibility Requirements:

• Accepted as an incoming freshman or transfer student at this university.
• Enrolled in either Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Citizen of the United States (not permanent resident) at the time of application.
• Selection will be based on academic and leadership activities, SAT or ACT scores, and grade point average.

Terms of Scholarship:

• A minimum of two scholarships, one in Mechanical Engineering and one in Electrical Engineering, will be awarded for the fall semester depending on applicant qualifications.
• The value of the scholarship ranges from $1,000 to $4,000 a year for up to four years.
• Under Arkansas law, other scholarships you receive may reduce the value of this scholarship.
• This scholarship is not transferable to another university.

Application Deadline: December 15

How to Apply:

• Download the application and save it to your hard drive as a Word document.
• Complete the application. All applications must be typed (hand-written applications will be rejected).
• Email the completed application (in Word or .pdf format) along with any additional documentation required for each scholarship (e.g., SAT/ACT scores, letters of recommendation, etc.) to scholarships@sae.org.

• All information must be submitted by December 15.
• Application for this scholarship does not constitute an application for admission to the university. The student is responsible for applying for admission to this university. If application to this university is not made before January 15, the scholarship application will be disqualified.

Selection and Announcement of Recipient:

• Selection will be based on academic and leadership activities, SAT or ACT scores, and grade point average.
• Recipient(s) will be selected and notified by this university.
• Results for the recipients of the SAE Scholarships Program will be posted online by the end of July.

Terms for Renewal of Scholarship:

• This scholarship may be renewed directly through the university for three additional years if criteria are met.
• Remain an engineering student in good standing at the university.
• Must have enrolled in and completed 12 or more hours each semester.
• Maintain a minimum of a 3.25 GPA each semester.
• Under Arkansas law, other scholarships you receive may reduce the value of this scholarship.
