University-Sponsored SAE Engineering Scholarships: Kansas State University- Manhattan

SAE ENGINEERING SCHOLARSHIP
Kansas State was founded in February 1863. Its 668-acre main campus is located in the northeastern Kansas community of Manhattan. The university offers more than 200 undergraduate degree programs and options, 62 master's degree programs and 40 doctoral programs within its eight colleges: Agriculture, Arts and Sciences, Architecture, Planning and Design, Business Administration, Education, Engineering, Human Ecology and Veterinary Medicine.

With enrollments greater than 2,750 undergraduate and 500 graduate students, Kansas State is the largest and most comprehensive college of engineering in the region. It offers degrees, options, and specializations in virtually every major or related engineering field including aerospace, agricultural, architectural, biological, biomedical, chemical, civil, computer, computer science, construction science, electrical, environmental, industrial, information systems, mechanical and nuclear. All degree programs are nationally accredited.

Student Eligibility Requirements:

  • High school senior planning to enroll as an incoming freshman at this university.
  • Plan to pursue a degree in the College of Engineering.
  • Citizen of the United States (not permanent resident) at the time of application.
  • Minimum ACT composite score of 30.
  • Minimum 3.5 GPA.
  • Upper 10% of graduating class.

Terms of Scholarship:

  • One $1,000 scholarship will be awarded.
  • Renewable at $1,000 per year for four years if criteria are met (maximum award is $4,000).
  • This scholarship is not transferable to another university.

Application Deadline: December 15

How to Apply:

  • Download the application and save it to your hard drive as a Word document.
  • Complete the application. All applications must be typed (hand-written applications will be rejected).
  • Email the completed application (in Word or .pdf format) along with any additional documentation required for each scholarship (e.g., SAT/ACT scores, letters of recommendation, etc.) to scholarships@sae.org.
  • Submit copy of your official transcript to:

  • All information must be submitted by December 15.
  • Application for this scholarship does not constitute an application for admission to the university. The student is responsible for applying for admission to this university. If application to this university is not made before January 15, the scholarship application will be disqualified.

Selection and Announcement of Recipient:

  • Recipient(s) will be selected and notified by this university.
  • Results for the recipients of the SAE Scholarships Program will be posted online by the end of July.

Terms for Renewal of Scholarship:

  • May be renewed directly through the university for three additional years if criteria are met.
  • Maintain a minimum 3.5 grade point average.
