COLLEGE OF TECHNOLOGY & AVIATION SAE ENGINEERING SCHOLARSHIP
The College of Technology & Aviation at Kansas State University-Salina offers two- and four-year programs in a variety of engineering technology fields as well as aviation, including professional pilot. As the largest and most comprehensive college of its kind in the state of Kansas, the College of Technology & Aviation has an enrollment of approximately 1,000 students with a 15:1 student/faculty ratio and specializes in offering a hands-on education to prepare students for the workforce. Classroom work is paired with intensive application oriented labs. Facilities include a robotics lab for mechanical engineering technology, flight simulators, a fleet of over 45 aircraft, numerous computer labs and a virtual instrumentation lab for electronic and computer engineering technology students. In the past five years, the College has placed 96% of its graduates. A variety of support services are available including free tutoring, career planning and placement, internships and career and employment job fairs. Financial aid is available to those who qualify.
Student Eligibility Requirements:
- High school senior accepted as an incoming freshman at this university.
- Intend to pursue a degree in engineering degree offered by the College of Technology & Aviation.
- Citizen of the United States (not permanent resident) at the time of application.
- Minimum 3.2 GPA and 950 SAT or 21 ACT composite score.
Terms of Scholarship:
- Five $1,000 scholarships will be awarded.
- Renewable for 4 years if criteria are met.
- This scholarship is not transferable to another university.

- Complete the application. All applications must be typed (hand-written applications will be rejected).
- Email the completed application (in Word or .pdf format) along with any additional documentation required for each scholarship (e.g., SAT/ACT scores, letters of recommendation, etc.) to scholarships@sae.org.

- Application for this scholarship does not constitute an application for admission to the university. The student is responsible for applying for admission to this university. If application to this university is not made before January 15, the scholarship application will be disqualified.
Selection and Announcement of Recipient:
- Recipient(s) will be selected and notified by this university.
- Results for the recipients of the SAE Scholarships Program will be posted online by the end of July.
Terms for Renewal of Scholarship:
- May be renewed directly through the university for three additional years if criteria are met.
- Maintain a minimum 3.2 grade point average.
- Maintain continued enrollment in a degree program offered by the College of Technology and Aviation.
