University-Sponsored SAE Engineering Scholarships: Lawrence Technological University

SAE ENGINEERING SCHOLARSHIP
Lawrence Technological University is a private, independent, co-educational institution located in Southfield, Michigan. Founded in 1932, the University includes Colleges of Architecture and Design, Arts and Sciences, Engineering, and Management, and offers more than 40 academic programs at the baccalaureate, graduate, and associate degree levels. Lawrence Tech students enjoy full service convenience on a modern, 115-acre campus.

Ranked as one of the top 50 of the nation's career-oriented engineering programs, Lawrence Tech's reputation for engineering excellence continues to grow. With approximately 1,900 engineering majors, bachelor's degrees are offered in Civil Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering.

Student Eligibility Requirements:

  • High school senior accepted as an incoming freshman at this university.
  • Intend to pursue a degree in engineering.
  • Citizen of the United States (not permanent resident) at the time of application.
  • Selection will be based on high school grades and ACT or SAT scores.

Terms of Scholarship:

  • Five $2,000 scholarships will be awarded.
  • Renewable for 3 additional years if criteria are met.
  • This scholarship is not transferable to another university.

Application Deadline: December 15

How to Apply:

  • Download the application and save it to your hard drive as a Word document.
  • Complete the application. All applications must be typed (hand-written applications will be rejected).
  • Email the completed application (in Word or .pdf format) along with any additional documentation required for each scholarship (e.g., SAT/ACT scores, letters of recommendation, etc.) to scholarships@sae.org.
  • Submit copy of your official transcript to:

  • All information must be submitted by December 15.
  • Application for this scholarship does not constitute an application for admission to the university. The student is responsible for applying for admission to this university. If application to this university is not made before January 15, the scholarship application will be disqualified.

Selection and Announcement of Recipient:

  • Recipient(s) will be selected and notified by this university.
  • Results for the recipients of the SAE Scholarships Program will be posted online by the end of July.

Terms for Renewal of Scholarship:

  • May be renewed directly through the university for three additional years if criteria are met.
  • Maintain a minimum 3.2 grade point average.
