University-Sponsored SAE Engineering Scholarships: Mercer University
SAE ENGINEERING SCHOLARSHIP
Mercer University, located in Macon, Georgia, is a private, Baptist affiliated university founded in 1839. The university includes the College of Liberal Arts and the Schools of Business, Engineering, Education, Law, Medicine, Pharmacy, and Theology. The School of Engineering, established in 1985, serves about 500 undergraduate and graduate students and offers the degree of Bachelor of Science in Engineering with specialization in biomedical, electrical, environmental, industrial, and mechanical engineering. All engineering programs are established around a broad engineering core and a strong thread in technical communications.
Student Eligibility Requirements:
- High school senior accepted as an incoming freshman at this university.
- Intend to pursue a degree in engineering.
- Citizen of the United States (not permanent resident) at the time of application.
- SAT score of 1400 or greater, or an ACT score of 31 or greater in both English and Math
- High school academic GPA of 3.7 or greater.
Terms of Scholarship:
- One $2,500 scholarship will be awarded.
- Renewable for 3 additional years if criteria are met.
- This scholarship is not transferable to another university.
Application Deadline: December 15
How to Apply:
- Download the application and save it to your hard drive as a Word document.
- Complete the application. All applications must be typed (hand-written applications will be rejected).
- Email the completed application (in Word or .pdf format) along with any additional documentation required for each scholarship (e.g., SAT/ACT scores, letters of recommendation, etc.) to scholarships@sae.org.

- All information must be submitted by December 15.
- Application for this scholarship does not constitute an application for admission to the university. The student is responsible for applying for admission to this university. If application to this university is not made before January 15, the scholarship application will be disqualified.
Selection and Announcement of Recipient:
- Recipient(s) will be selected and notified by this university.
- Results for the recipients of the SAE Scholarships Program will be posted online by the end of July.
Terms for Renewal of Scholarship: This scholarship is not renewable.
