University-Sponsored SAE Engineering Scholarships: Ohio State University
MOTORSPORTS TEAM SAE ENGINEERING SCHOLARSHIP
The Ohio State University, situated in the heartland of the U.S. auto industry, maintains a worldwide presence in the industry, offering numerous career advantages for the student interested in mobility. OSU's facilities, including the Center for Automotive Research and access to the world-famous proving grounds of the Transportation Research Center, provide students and faculty with unparalleled educational and research opportunities. Ohio State participates in a wide variety of student competitions, include Baja SAEĀ®, Formula SAEĀ®, Sunrayce, and Formula Lightning. Through the creation of the Ohio State Motorsports Team, OSU is increasing its level of motorsports involvement. Scholarships and formalized coaching are available to students who participate in the university's SAE chapter and motorsports team activities. A multidisciplinary Master of Science certificate program in Automotive Systems Engineering is also available to qualified graduate students.
Student Eligibility Requirements:
- High school senior or transfer student accepted as an incoming freshman at this university.
- Intend to pursue a degree in engineering.
- Citizen of the United States (not permanent resident) at the time of application.
- Selection will be based on demonstrated potential to contribute to the success of Ohio State's motorsports teams. Prior participation in successful team efforts, technical aptitude, leadership potential, and a solid record are all important elements in the selection process.
Terms of Scholarship:
- Up to three $500 scholarships will be awarded for the freshman year.
- This scholarship is not transferable to another university.

How to Apply:
- Download the application and save it to your hard drive as a Word document.
- Complete the application. All applications must be typed (hand-written applications will be rejected).
- Email the completed application (in Word or .pdf format) along with any additional documentation required for each scholarship (e.g., SAT/ACT scores, letters of recommendation, etc.) to scholarships@sae.org.

- All information must be submitted by December 15.
- Application for this scholarship does not constitute an application for admission to the university. The student is responsible for applying for admission to this university. If application to this university is not made before January 15, the scholarship application will be disqualified.
Selection and Announcement of Recipient:
- Recipient(s) will be selected and notified by this university.
- Results for the recipients of the SAE Scholarships Program will be posted online by the end of July.
Terms for Renewal of Scholarship: This scholarship is not renewable.
