University-Sponsored SAE Engineering Scholarships: Oklahoma State University

COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING, ARCHITECTURE & TECHNOLOGY SAE ENGINEERING SCHOLARSHIP
Oklahoma State University located in Stillwater, Oklahoma, founded initially as Oklahoma Agricultural and Mechanical College on December 25, 1890, is the largest comprehensive university in the state. Strategically selected programs of instruction, research and public service to advance the quality of human life fulfills the university's mission.

The College of Engineering, Architecture and Technology (CEAT) offers a complete spectrum of educational opportunities designed to give graduates the capability and the flexibility to meet the ever changing requirements of society - a society heavily committed to technological innovation. Undergraduate programs in Aerospace Engineering, Architectural Engineering, Biosystems Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering and Management, and Mechanical Engineering are accredited by ABET. Options in computer engineering, environmental, biomechanical, and pre-med are available. Engineering technology degrees in electronics, construction management, mechanical, and fire protection and safety are accredited by TAC/ABET. Programs in architecture design and co-op are also accredited.

Seeking to attract the best high school graduates, CEAT offers opportunities for qualified students to participate in the Honors Program, a Scholars Research Program, and the Scholars Enrichment Program.

Student Eligibility Requirements:

  • High school senior accepted as an incoming freshman at this university.
  • Intend to pursue a degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial engineering.
  • Citizen of the United States (not permanent resident) at the time of application.
  • Minimum 3.80 GPA.
  • Minimum ACT score of 30 or SAT score of 1350.

Terms of Scholarship:

  • One $1,000 scholarship will be awarded.
  • Renewable for 3 additional years if criteria are met.
  • This scholarship is not transferable to another university.

Application Deadline: December 15

How to Apply:

  • Download the application and save it to your hard drive as a Word document.
  • Complete the application. All applications must be typed (hand-written applications will be rejected).
  • Email the completed application (in Word or .pdf format) along with any additional documentation required for each scholarship (e.g., SAT/ACT scores, letters of recommendation, etc.) to scholarships@sae.org.
  • Submit copy of your official transcript to:

  • All information must be submitted by December 15.
  • Application for this scholarship does not constitute an application for admission to the university. The student is responsible for applying for admission to this university. If application to this university is not made before January 15, the scholarship application will be disqualified.

Selection and Announcement of Recipient:

  • Recipient(s) will be selected and notified by this university.
  • Results for the recipients of the SAE Scholarships Program will be posted online by the end of July.

Terms for Renewal of Scholarship:

  • May be renewed directly through the university for three additional years if criteria are met.
