SAE ENGINEERING SCHOLARSHIP
Rochester Institute of Technology, a privately endowed university located in the third largest city in New York, has an enrollment of approximately 15,500 students. Approximately 2,000 undergraduates are engineering majors, and an additional 900 major in engineering technologies.
The Kate Gleason College of Engineering offers programs in Computer, Electrical, Industrial and Systems, Mechanical, Mechanical/Aerospace, Mechanical/Automotive and Microelectronic. Software Engineering is offered in the B. Thomas Golisano College of Computing and Information Sciences. The College of Applied Science and Technology offers programs in Computer Integrated Manufacturing, Telecommunications, Electrical, Mechanical, and Civil Engineering Technology. The 5-year BS programs include four years of academic work and fifteen months of paid cooperative work experience.
Student Eligibility Requirements:
- High school senior accepted as an incoming freshman at this university.
- Enrolled in an Engineering or Engineering Technology program.
- Citizen of the United States (not permanent resident) at the time of application.
- Selection will be based on academic credentials and leadership potential.
- A personal interview is recommended.
Terms of Scholarship:
- Up to twenty-five $5,000 scholarships will be awarded.
- Renewable for 3 additional years if criteria are met.
- This scholarship is not transferable to another university.

How to Apply:
- Download the application and save it to your hard drive as a Word document.
- Complete the application. All applications must be typed (hand-written applications will be rejected).
- Email the completed application (in Word or .pdf format) along with any additional documentation required for each scholarship (e.g., SAT/ACT scores, letters of recommendation, etc.) to scholarships@sae.org.

- Application for this scholarship does not constitute an application for admission to the university. The student is responsible for applying for admission to this university. If application to this university is not made before January 15, the scholarship application will be disqualified.
Selection and Announcement of Recipient:
- Recipient(s) will be selected and notified by this university.
- Results for the recipients of the SAE Scholarships Program will be posted online by the end of July.
Terms for Renewal of Scholarship:
- May be renewed directly through the university for three additional years if criteria are met.
- Maintain a minimum 2.8 grade point average.
