CHANCELLOR'S SAE ENGINEERING SCHOLARSHIP
The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga is a growing, vibrant urban university reflecting the character of its dynamic city. Through its mission, the College of Engineering and Computer Science at UTC strives to serve the people, businesses, and industries of the region and support their technical needs. The College continues to build on its strong partnerships with industry through industry-sponsored senior design projects, faculty and student research activities, and participation of industrial leaders in the College's activities. The College exists as the region's principal resource for engineering and computer science education, applied research, and service programs. All of the College's disciplines enjoy a strong popularity and demand in the marketplace.
The College is fortunate to be located in a growing, dynamic metropolitan area with strong manufacturing, insurance, and health care industries. It is in the midst of the Tennessee Technology Corridor and at the northern terminus of a developing economic corridor that extends southward to Atlanta.
Student Eligibility Requirements:
- High school senior accepted as an incoming freshman at this university by February 1 of the senior year.
- Intend to pursue a degree in engineering.
- Citizen of the United States (not permanent resident) at the time of application.
- Minimum 3.75 high school GPA.
- Minimum ACT score of 30.
- Minimum SAT score of 1320.
Terms of Scholarship:
- Up to ten $3,000 scholarships will be awarded.
- Renewable for a total of four years if criteria are met.
- An additional $1,000 may be available if student lives in campus housing.
- This scholarship is not transferable to another university.

How to Apply:
- Download the application and save it to your hard drive as a Word document.
- Complete the application. All applications must be typed (hand-written applications will be rejected).
- Email the completed application (in Word or .pdf format) along with any additional documentation required for each scholarship (e.g., SAT/ACT scores, letters of recommendation, etc.) to scholarships@sae.org.

- All information must be submitted by December 15.
- Application for this scholarship does not constitute an application for admission to the university. The student is responsible for applying for admission to this university. If application to this university is not made before January 15, the scholarship application will be disqualified.
Selection and Announcement of Recipient:
- Recipient(s) will be selected and notified by this university.
- Results for the recipients of the SAE Scholarships Program will be posted online by the end of July.
Terms for Renewal of Scholarship:
- May be renewed directly through the university for a total of four years if criteria are met.
- Maintain a minimum 3.5 grade point average.
- Must pass 24 hours between the fall and spring semesters.
