University-Sponsored SAE Engineering Scholarships: York College of Pennsylvania

IAC SCHOLAR SAE ENGINEERING SCHOLARSHIP
Founded in 1787 as the York County Academy, York College of Pennsylvania is a private, independent, comprehensive, predominantly undergraduate institution with an enrollment of 4000 full-time students and 1200 part-time students. Curricula include programs in arts and humanities, music, social and behavioral sciences, natural and physical sciences, foreign studies, business, education, nursing, and engineering. Tuition for academic year 2000-2001 is $7,000 per year. Engineering and nursing majors pay approximately $710 per year more. The College occupies a 118-acre park-like campus, just beyond York city limits, in the rolling hills of the Susquehanna Valley Region of Central Pennsylvania, and is within a two-hour drive from both Philadelphia and Washington, D.C.

The York College Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering program is a four-year degree program that includes a required component of salaried engineering cooperative work experience. The program is supported, in part, by an active partnership of regional industrial and business organizations. This partnership provides financial resources for engineering scholarships and laboratory development, and co-op opportunities for students. It also provides for ongoing interaction with practicing engineers and engineering managers to assure a relevant curriculum of the highest standards. For more information, visit YCP's website at www.ycp.edu.
