Registration Fee for 2010 SAE Aero Design Competitions

The registration fee for the 2010 SAE Aero Design competitions in North America will be $600.00 USD. Online registration will open at 10:00 AM Eastern Daylight Time on Monday, October 5, 2009 and close at 11:59 PM Monday, December 21, 2009 or when all the registration slots have been taken, whichever occurs first.

Similar to last year, the rules committee has decided to provide an advanced release for the Aero Design 2010 rules. It is the responsibility of teams to download and adhere to the formal Aero Design 2010 rules upon their release.

The SAE Aero Design East competition held April 3-5, 2009 in Kennesaw, Georgia lived up to its high-quality, high-excitement tradition. Completing over 300 individual flights and 8 rounds of flight competitions, the almost perfect weather was the exclamation point to the competitions three-day event.

SAE Aero Design West Returns to the California Skies!

The first Aero Design competition of the year was held March 6-8, 2009 in Van Nuys, California. SAE International returned to Apollo XI Field after a year absence and along with Lockheed Martin as host and sponsor, the San Fernando Valley Radio Control Flyers, Byrons Fuel and NASA, produced an outstanding competition! 54 teams from around the world registered for the event. Teams from the United States, Canada, India, Poland, Mexico and Venezuela all gathered for three days of fun and excitement.
